I try to make my Canvas as easy to navigate as possible. I set up modules by week and move the current week to the top so students don’t have to keep scrolling downwards. I put my tutorial hours in the weekly header. I use text headers within the weekly module for reminders about tests and makeup dates. I title my assignments in Canvas with the same name I use for it in my grade book (our grade book is not connected to Canvas). This way, students can easily identify assignments when going back and forth between Canvas and the grade book. I put all of our assignments on Canvas even though we meet face to face. This way if a student is absent they can easily keep up with the class and find what they missed.
